Make voice work for everyone, everywhere
Voice is the most natural interface humans have. The infrastructure to use it across every product, language, and channel should feel just as natural. That is the platform we are building.
Why this matters
Voice technology has been gated for a decade — locked behind enterprise contracts, fragmented across vendors, and priced to discourage experimentation. The result is that the products people use every day still sound robotic, only speak English well, and treat voice as a premium add-on instead of a primitive.
We think that is wrong. A solo creator localising a podcast into Mandarin, an enterprise team rolling out support agents in 30 languages, and a researcher prototyping a voice agent on a Saturday afternoon should all be able to reach for the same tools — at the same quality bar, on the same APIs, with the same respect for the voices they bring.
That is the bet behind SonicVox: that the unified voice infrastructure of the next decade should be built in the open, priced for everyone, and designed so the speaker — not the platform — owns the voice.
How we show up
Six values we hold each other to. They are not aspirational — they are the operating rules.
Voice belongs to the speaker
Every voice cloned on SonicVox stays the property of the person who created it. We never resell voices, train foundation models on them, or expose them across tenants.
Build in the open
We credit the open-source projects we stand on, share our roadmap publicly, and explain decisions in writing. If we cannot defend it on a public page, we should not ship it.
Quality is a feature
Latency, voice quality, multilingual expressiveness — we treat these as ship-blockers, not nice-to-haves. If a release lowers the bar, we hold it.
Generous defaults
Free tier with real volume. No surprise minimums. Pricing that does not punish a customer for growing. We win when our users ship — not when they hit a quota wall.
Trust by default
We hire people we trust to make the call, then back them. We treat customers the same way — privacy controls on by default, data residency available, no opaque dark-pattern dashboards.
Multilingual from day one
Voice technology that only works well in English is not finished. Every feature we ship is held to the same quality bar across the 30+ languages SonicVox supports, because the next billion users are not waiting in line for an English-first product.
Build with us, or build on us.
If our mission resonates, there are two doors. Try the platform free, or join the team building it.
